PUSA: The Sarawak government has provided various initiatives for entrepreneurs interested in agriculture, including youth in the Betong Division.

 

Beting Maro Assemblyman, Razaili Gapor said that the Betong Division Agriculture Department offered the community in this area the opportunity to learn about new technology and attend the fertigation system planting technology course under the Sarawak Bumiputera Special Programme (PKB) in Kampung Spinang.

 

“Participants can gain extensive knowledge in the field of agriculture and develop agricultural-based products through fertigation.

 

“This fosters interest and job opportunities for locals to increase their income.

 

“Participants also have the opportunity to exchange opinions and experiences with other participants to develop the agricultural industry in a modern way,” he said.

 

He said this during the closing ceremony of the Fertigation System Planting Technology Course held here, today.

 

Razaili added that to change their respective socio-economic status, the residents need to reach out to the Department of Agriculture to provide education and guidance on agriculture.

 

“In the Beting Maro area, various types of crops can be processed to produce high-quality products.

 

“Agricultural products need to be marketed at the Pusa market and online for consumers in this area as well as outside Sarawak,” he said.

 

With the implementation of PKB, it is expected to stimulate and further accelerate the development of the agricultural sector in Sarawak, especially in terms of increasing the production of quality agricultural products, he added. -UKASnews
